The importance of confidentiality
Although every translation project must be carried out with the utmost confidentiality, this requirement takes on even greater importance in the case of legal translation.
Legal documents often contain highly sensitive and confidential information and their disclosure can cause serious harm to the parties involved.
It is therefore crucial to use a reputable and reliable translation service provider, with processes in place to guarantee the security of your information, and using reliable tools.
How do we guarantee confidentiality?
At Legal 230, we have built up a reliable and trustworthy framework for the secure exchange of information on your projects. Confidentiality is a priority for all those involved in the translation process.
Securing your data
To guarantee total confidentiality in the processing of your data, we provide you with a secure Tier 3 portal, meeting the latest IT security standards recommended by ANSSI.
Our platform enables you to manage your translation projects in their entirety: upload your legal documents, download translations and any associated files (personal glossary, invoice, etc.), update translations and your glossaries. Your personal environment on the portal is password-protected and the set-up is entirely free of charge.
In order to maintain control over all your data, we have developed an Artificial Intelligence tool, Alan. This means that the content of your legal documents is examined and manipulated only by our teams of experts, regardless of the type of translation chosen.
Finally, we are a French company, hosting our data exclusively in France.
Confidentiality and professionalism
On a day-to-day basis, all documents you entrust us with for translation are sent to our translators via our secure Tier 3 portal only. Our translators return these documents to us in the same way.
All service providers, whether translators, court-approved translators, interpreters or others, are bound by the rules of professional secrecy and must sign two documents requiring them to respect the confidentiality of all information entrusted to them:
- A charter, in which the service provider undertakes to comply with certain principles, notably confidentiality
- A non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
Our service providers have also committed themselves in writing to complying with current GDPR standards, and have agreed to allow our company to conduct any relevant verification audits.
Finally, we offer you a degree of flexibility in the way we deliver your translations. Depending on your preferences and for reasons of confidentiality, delivery can be made online via our portal, by post, by courier (for the Paris region), or by any other means that suits you.
